Stephen Shimek is a Los Angeles based feature film director and co-founder of the independent film production company, Escapology.

The director of over 13 features spanning countless genres, Stephen has worked steadily in the film industry since making his directorial debut in 2007. He is most well known for directing the Miranda Green Mystery trilogy, the second of which, Murder at the Embassy, was released in theaters earlier this year.

Stephen has directed multiple internationally successful and award-winning films, including the 2015 cult hit Dudes & Dragons and the 2016 indie horror sensation Nocturne.
